The White House on Tuesday affirmed that the Republican plan to raise the debt limit in exchange for cuts on federal programs will be vetoed by President Joe Biden should it reach his desk.

The House leadership is confident that the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023, which would also eliminate green energy tax breaks, will pass the narrowly divided chamber. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, on the other hand, said the bill would be dead on arrival in the Dem-held chamber.
